I’m on the VMWare side of the fence. I started out with Bootcamp, but it got to be very annoying to have to reboot each time I wanted to switch OS’s. The only tricky part, for me at least, is to know how to go out of your VMWare app into things like Finder, Mail, Safari or whatever, then come back to the Windows machine. On my late 2014 Mac mini, Windows under Bootcamp ran extremely slowly. However, when I created my VMWare machine by importing from Bootcamp, things went pretty well, and continue to do so now. Oh yeah, I’m staying with VMWare Version 10, BTW. I tried VMWare 11, but I could never get it to connect to my external USB devices, including my Braille display, so I’m sticking with 10 for now.
For me, doing things like checking e-mail and going to the web work quite well on Mac OS, but I do have a couple of things I need to do that can only be done in Windows. So VMWare is just fine for me. If, on the other hand, you do more of your work in Windows and are much more used to that OS, Bootcamp is probably the way to go. Just my two cents.
