hello; I want to concur with this opinion of max. I would only recommend it if you will be happy with setting the quality and output locations and leaving them because every time I have to make changes it drives me crazy. I only keep using it because its a free program available on the mac. also, i don't do any fancy ripping. I don't even have my tv set up to record tv shows or movies to my computer. good luck, max

Max is a cdripper program. And It is freeware.

You can download it from:

It can be a bit tricky to set up in my opinion. But you are wellcome
to write again if neccesarry.

Best regards Annie.

OK, I may sound like an idiot, but what is Max, and where do I get it? I, too, would be interested in ripping cds in a higher quality. Oh, and what
do you mean I'm going lossless?

Thanks for your patience if these are simplistic questions.
Best,
Donna

Hi, The settings are perfectly accessible, they just dont trucking change when you hit the OK buttons. Or at least that was my experience here. besides, I'm going lossless now, and I'm sure ITunes won't let me rip to
flac even with fluke installed, wonderful add-on that it is.

Max is way more versatile and streamlined for ripping anyway, like most
custom applications.

Hi,

What quality did you want to use in iTunes? I never had a problem
changing the quality settings.

Hi all.

Now I have succeded in setting up max, so that I can rip cd's in the quality I want. I am not using ITunes for that, because I can not get the quality I want, I think it is a voiceover problem, but it is not
solved in the last version of ITunes either. So I try to use max
instead, I am in a way very saticefied with that, but I have a
problem, The program is using musicbrainz, and I can not find my cd's on that database, can I use another database instead and which? and
which information do I need, if I can use another database?

I hope somebody can help.

Best regards Annie.
