Hi, There are trusted developers that are built in to the system, as well as you being able to tell the MacOS if you want to “Trust” a specific web-site for downloads. Leaving the setting to App Store and Trusted Developers is your best option. Regarding the locking of the screen after sleep or screen saver, yes, indeed this can be configured. I’ll preface this by saying that when you disable this feature, you are leaving your Mac open to security breaches. That being said, if you are comfortable with that risk, or have other physical reasons for preferring your Mac not to behave this way, then the setting is in the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences under the General tab.
