Catalina is probably the latest for that model. If there are any
updates, they will be security updates. If Software Update says your Mac
is up to date, then it is up to date.

Have you tried going into system preferences, and then software update?

I have a Mac Book Pro that I bought in 2014. When I look in the
“About This Mac” area it tells me it’s a “Late 2013” model. I am
currently running Big Sir 15.7 on it.
For months it has been notifying me that there is an update to
Monterey which I don’t find when I check in preferences or the
updates when I check under the about this Mac. When/if I get a
notification about it I cannot get to that either.
Other than the computer being too old for the newer OS, does any one
know of any other reason why I am unable to get the download?
