I have been getting notifications to update to Monterey. But, when I
check for updates either in preferences or About This Mac it always
tells me I am up to date. This morning in fact there was a
notification on the computer to update to Monterey when I tried
clicking on the notification it seemed to just disappear. I looked in
the app store and it said there as well that everything was up to date.
This is so weird. I have not had issues getting or installing updates
before.

What are you being offered to update to? You should be able to
select the search feield in the Mac App Store and locate it there.

You can also search the App Store for any later MacOS update and
download it from the store if it’s not showing up in the software
update preferences.

Have you tried going into system preferences, and then software
update? It might flag it there.

the “About This Mac” area it tells me it’s a “Late 2013”
model. I am currently running Big Sir 15.7 on it.
For months it has been notifying me that there is an update

When/if I get a notification about it I cannot get to that
either.
Other than the computer being too old for the newer OS, does
any one know of any other reason why I am unable to get the
download?
