Hi again Michael.
I’ve been searching for your headphones and my wife has been describing the pictures to me. I love the concept of Bone conductive headphones and Shokes open run are the model I desire but I think the band that holds them together sounds a little flimbsy to me. I think I’d like a stronger, band type connection, rather than a strong wire. Pauline is in bed now but tomorrow I’ll ask her to look at the Shoks webpage and describe the models to me. I have managed to raise my volume to 90% but I will need to wait until I get a call to see if it helps my dodgy hearing, with my new headphones that is! Thank you for your support. Very best wishes, Andy Logue. Is basically a set of two headphones that hook over both ears and they are connected by little band that can go around your head. They do have a single head toes that hook over one year, but I decided That I would rather spend a little extra money and get both headphones connected together. There are some things that it just works out better to be able to hear the iPhone through both ears. One year will do if that’s all you can get a hold of. I would rather hear through both years as if possible. And it is very easy to get these numbers all mixed up and think that you have a 15 and maybe you have 16 that sort of thing. And it’s not getting any better. It only gets worse from here because they now have a 17 E and also an 18 E. I’m not sure what the E actually means but if I’m gonna get one of those phones, I would rather just get the 16 or 17 pro and just get the whole thing if I can. Cause I know that he probably doesn’t mean anything extra. I think it’s probably the complete and total and exact opposite. I wished it meant extra. Well I hope this helps. Michael. PS You can hang the phone up with his headphones with the phone in your pocket. Let me say it again. You can use these headphones to hang up your phone when it is in your pocket. I asked my wife to describe the picture for my search “shoks open run Pro” on Amazon and she described a search result of 10 sets, ranging from £90 to £175. She described 2 separate ear hanging devices, not connected to each other. I’m very keen to get a pair of these if they will enable me to hear my Iphone better. Could you please describe the set that you have or would suggest / recommend? I’d like to get a good pair that worked, rather than an inexpensive set that was a little dodgy. I had imagined that they were connected to each other? Finally, can you answer and hang up a call with the phone in your pocket with these? My wife Pauline will probably try and match your set with the pictures in Amazon. Very best wishes. Andy Logue. It works really good with the iPhone that I have especially in a noisy environment. The audio for the phone calls is really good 90% of the time. The headphones also work out well for listing to other things like music podcast, etc. I hope this would help. As far as as the iPhone models, it is really easy to get some of the numbers and letters mixed up because they keep coming out with new iPhones pretty often. I know there is a 16 E and a 17 E and those are the only two that I know with some Certainty That are either out or will be coming out. I heard some talk about an 18 E but I’m not sure if that’s even available yet. Secondly, I would suggest you look into using some form of a Bluetooth headset/open ear headphones. This can help you hear your iPhone when you're in a noisy environment. Aftershocks may be a good choice. They will allow you to hear your iPhone, while not obstructing your ears. There are various models that are worth looking into. Others may have other suggestions. - Brad - On May 6, 2026, at 10:21, meikle.aiden via MacVisionaries <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > wrote: Hi all. I can hardly hear my wife’s voice on a test call within our house and have been advised that the volume on the left side of the phone is at full volume. I’m very concerned that I may be unable to use my phone out of doors in traffic or in a bar.. Is there perhaps a second volume within settings, for example and also can I set my phone up always use the loud speaker? I am going with a friend into Glasgow in a few days to the apple store to see if they can help. Anyone got any suggestions for me please, I have the 15 e. Thanks. Very best wishes.
