Yes, I use the Alex voice for everything, so I don't think that's a factor in 
my case. However, the question of more responsiveness after one press is 
definitely a factor. I only notice the delay the first time I press the key 
combo in a long time. Subsequent presses are much more responsive.

I will report this to Apple.
