this is usual issue - it happens when regdomain - value set by vendor i
guess in eeprom - of the card is not compatible with countrycode ya have
provided, check /var/log/syslog and dmesg etc. for stuff like
{{{
wifi%d: unable to collect channel list from hal; regdomain likely...
}}}
and similar.
Take a look at for example ticket 550 and , generally , use search feature
on the page to search for similar problems before asking questions in
ticket - or , even better , use mailing list - search there, then ask . To
the solution - of wifiX interface is not created - try to modprobe /
insmod without countrycode or experiment with various countrycodes - take
a look at UserDocs/CountryCode.
