I am more than ready to believe that ndiswrapper doesn't report the
statistics correctly. I will recheck the signal level, maybe I've inversed
the numbers because I distinctly remember the Gnome applet showing much
higher level for ndiswrapper than for ath_pci.
However to be honest this isn't really relevant, what matters is the 75%
ping loss with ath_pci (and, again, it's not just ping: opening google.com
in Firefox takes up to 5 minutes when it doesn't time out... the network
is completely unusable).
If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.
