Here's what I propose for the branches group:

b b - checkout (most likely the most often used)
b c - create
b m - manage(r), or perhaps 'b v - view' would be more intuitive?
b r - rename

I also propose:

f f - fetch "current" remote (that is, don't ask anything)
f o - fetch other remote (ask)
f a - fetch all

I think these would bring the new interface very close to the speed
of the old one.
