Sorry, you'll have to forgive the vagueness, but when you've never seen something work, and it doesn't seem to do anything now, it is very hard to describe what is going on. By "folder", I meant the "Group Folder" type of folder. I realize now that 'folder' to Mahogany means anything that shows up in the tree view. Here's what I do: 1] Right click on an empty space in the folder tree and select "Create New Folder" 2] Using the wizard, Create an "Entry Type" of "Folder Group" and give it a name. It then appears at the top level of my folder tree. But I can't do anything with it. If I right click on it, and say "Create New Folder", and create a new anything, it goes to the top level, not as a child of the folder I right clicked on. I can't seem to drag anything into it, which I should be able to do. Basically, I'm unable to create children of any type under any folder, using the right click menu. I have noticed that if I use the Folder|Create... main menu selection, I'm able to select anything as the Parent folder. Also, I've also noticed that if I *don't* use the wizard, I can see that the Parent folder drop down is disabled, but reflects the folder I right-clicked on as the Parent, and, in fact, works correctly, by creating a sub-folder. So it seems the wizard is broken. > Finally, the "parent folder" is disabled when you right click the I respectfully disagree with this UI choice. Sure, it should default to the folder you right-click on, but why not let it still be user-selectable? And I think it would be nice to leave it live even when you just click Properties on a folder. Right now, once a folder is created, it can never be moved in the tree, it seems. Also, drag and drop in the tree should work. You should be able to move any folder and drop it "into" any other folder, and have it move to be a sub-folder of the one dropped on. Another thing I've noticed is that "Create Folder..." is disabled in the right-click menu of File-type folders. If you can, in fact, create a sub-folder, then this shouldn't be disabled. -- Jonathan Arnold (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) Amazing Developments http://www.buddydog.org Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing. -- Redd Foxx _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Mahogany-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mahogany-users
