In fact, the text viewer is not using wxLayout classes ("rich text" which
you're probably referring to). Alan is correct, I did say that the slowness
came from the native Windows rich text control which the text viewer uses.
But 3 seconds still looks like a lot...

It's a bit trickier as they shouldn't appear in the built in composer (as
you're supposed to have other, more GUIish ways of changing the headers
there) but should be passed to the external editor and parsed back when it
terminates.
Actually, the code to do it is already there, mostly, so it would be
almost trivial to do... But I did decide to release .65 firstso I won't do
it before it. We can schedule it for 0.66 however, it's an easy to
implement but very useful feature.
