Sorry Vadim -- this was supposed to go to the list, not you personally. The
M lists are the ONLY ones that I subscribe to that direct replies back to
the sender rather than to the list post address.

Requiring wx 2.7.x is also a problem at my end. I'm running a Debian system
and 2.7 isn't even in the UNSTABLE tree yet (my main box is "testing", one
step below "unstable".

2.6.x is he current version available (not at that machine right now so I
don't know the ".x")

When an Ubuntu package got dropped in I thought... COOL, just grab the .deb
and install. But, I'm running -amd64 architecture and the .deb is -i386.
OK, no problem, grab the tarball and use the control file from the .deb to
recompile on my machine. Then I looked at the dependencies and tried to get
wx 2.7.x on my machine -- no can do.

I hadn't reached the point of trying to compile wx2.7. Too many "parts" and
no time to figure out which I needed and which others were needed to
compile the ones I need for M.

If anyone gets it working with 2.6 I would appreciate it. It sucks having
to move over to the WindowsXP laptop to do email when I'm sitting in front
of my primary computer. I'll probably see if I can find the source from the
0.66 release to install on that machine. Still using it on the WindowsXP
boxes.
