Hmmm -- I have the -ansi installed as well (I just grabbed all of the wx...debs from the ubuntu list except the debug versions and installed them). I just have to figure out how to force it to use the -ansi versions (can you tell I don't normally roll my own unless it's something from debian-source <grin>). Everything is sitting in /usr/lib with no way to tell which should be the -ansi libs. I'll --purge all the 2.7 stuff I installed and try reinstalling just the ones with -ansi in the name.
