I'll --purge all the 2.7 stuff > I installed and try reinstalling just the ones with -ansi in the name. > Gerald After removing all of the 2.7.x libs then reinstalling onth the 2.7.x-ansi libs .configure dropped back to grabbing the original native Debian 2.6.xu libs. <sigh> At that point I gave it up and just grabbed the ubuntu Mahogany .deb. It installed fine with the 2.7.x-ansi libs. I don't like completely mixing distributions like that but I want my M so it'll have to do until Debian gets the -ansi libs into the tree. Now I just need to fix all my settings since I appear to have forgotten to export the synch from my Win32 install of 0.66.
