Agreed. However I'm no expert to maildir format but I'll answer what
I know. ...And I can test it.

Perhaps a checkbox next to 'Nick Name' and/or 'Full Name' field in
ADB named 'Use as alias' would be enough.

Another way could be a global option in Preferences saying something
like 'Use Nick Name as alias'. In this case, if 'Nick Name' field will
be non-empty in ADB, it will be used as alias. Also there is no need
to store any additional info per ADB entry.

Addresses-alias map can be stored in some hashed table on disc
maybe. Its entries can be added and removed when user modifies a 'Nick
Name' field in ADB and fully (re)created when 'Use Nick Name as alias'
checkbox in Preferences is switched on.

Me too. :-) However for most users (including me) it is more
convenient not to use external editor. Actually, I do not remember why
I do not like internal editor because I'm using external one for
a long time. I think I did not like wrapping behaviour...

I am using local IMAP. The speed is not that bad, I can live with
it. But if there is a room for improvement (some indexes created by
Mahogany itself???) then it could be considered as one of the things
to implement.

Probably wxGTK bug (wxGTK 2.6.4.0 here).

I do not expect from you to do any Gentoo specific work. I've made an
ebuild for Mahogany and currently it is waiting in Gentoo bugzilla for
wx 3.0. I just wanted to mention some things that are making it
difficult to achieve (like dependency on very new wx versions and
absence of bugfix releases).

Oh, I almost forgot!

8. Encrypt and sign support. "Just" two buttons in toolbar, one for
encrypt and one for sign the message. This would be the nr.1 point in
my wish-list if I did not forgot.
