 If your "New Mail" folder is a local one (as I guess it is), it means that
the problem isn't even related to IMAP as I always thought... This is
probably helpful although to be honest right now it makes it even more
mysterious to me as if it's not some bug related to the unexpected order of
IMAP unsolicited server notifications then I have really no idea what can
it be... Obviously, if you could help with debugging this it would be
exceedingly great as I have a feeling that I just must be missing something
obvious, after spending so much time on this bug I'm afraid I developed a
kind of psychological blockade :-/ But if not I'll try to force myself to
look at it again one of these days.
