BTW, I suppose Gentoo does use some maildir patch to its c-client version
(which is used by pine and UW-imapd which are surely available in Gentoo,
aren't they), do you know which one do they use? If you could point me to
it it would be helpful. If you can attach any useful information you may
find to http://mahogany.tt-solutions.com/cgi-bin/mbugs/show_bug.cgi?id=389
it would be great, TIA.

I.e. this would replace occurrences of any email address associated with
this ADB entry with its nick name? If yes, this should be easy to implement
but I'm afraid this could still be rather slow as the current ADB is very
inefficient.

Anyhow, please create a bug entry with this proposal in the bugzilla and
I'll see if I can implement it as easily as I think (one of the problems is
what to do if an address occurs in more than one entry, which is perfectly
possible especially with auto-collection -- maybe the auto-collect book
should be excluded here, this would help with the performance too...).

Yes, it could definitely be useful in theory but it's a lot of work and
fails "useful for me" test as well so unfortunately this is not something
I'm going to do unless somebody funds a couple of months of M development.

Yes, I tested it with latest (per-2.9) wxGTK and it works for me there
too.

That actually shouldn't be very difficult to implement neither, after all
we already have code for interfacing with gpg and it's just the matter of
calling it in the right place. Still, it's probably a day or two of work so
don't hold your breath but please do add a bug for it as well.

 Thanks,
