I come for User group meeting ( developer stream ) and has educated people about writing software for Linux. (It is not just talk about Licensing alone ....!!! )
Let us contribute some thing to the Free Software and talk about Freedom later. PS :- if this is axed , freedom of expression is denied. I will be forced to call this group is for people who are not interested in Computer Programming. @Deepu : I dint whine about his wine discussion...but looking at his last thread...it was less of wine and more of provocation. How can you expect others to keep quite, when provocated?. Thanks for the appreciation of my download...but real appreciation would be if you understood the spirit in which i replied. @Praseed: Any one who ignores Windows ( it is a necessary evil ) will be an impoverished programmer and can harm the aspirations of people who depend upon them. (our kids, siblings and parents might not share the same zeal regarding the Free Software movement ) Thats because they are weak. Its our duty to educate them and allow them to take "informed" decisions.. just because a child wants orange candy's and that the shopkeeper is trying to lure that child into buying it... doesnt mean adults go ahead and buy it for them!!!.. Instead they step-in and dis-encourage the child, as the child is too weak to understand the real motive behind the shopkeeper(profit) and the harm the low-quality candy(though seemingly attractive) can do for that child. By not standing up for Free-Software's Zeal will be the greatest harm that can be done to those who depend on us.. those who are not yet born into this increasingly proprietary world!! Joel.
