The main problem is that at the same time that people are trying to fix things and make things work there are other people who are trying to break things and make things fail. Scammers and spammers and other miscreants work against the public good. The good guys working to make things work are clever. Unfortunately the bad guys working to make things fail are also clever. We are in the middle of a battle between these two forces. It is as yet unclear which side will win in the end but we are not at the end yet.
