On the map, the eclipse lines are clearly incorrect when compared with the modern eclipse path for the 1691 eclipse (my last email post), but there are three data points, two on the map and one from the historical account from my last post, which can be used to check the veracity of the accounts with respect to the 1691 eclipse. The eclipse was observed in Guadalaja (according to the map text) and Lake Texcoco (according to the historical account from 1691 in my last post.) It was not observed in Durango (according to the map text). If you look at the modern map of the 1691 eclipse, these three reported facts are corroborated.
