I used Surfer 6.0 in a previous life. I also purchased Surflink, which passed data
back and forth between
MapInfo and Surfer quite easily. I found surfer powerful and easy to use. I didn't
do much with it's cartographic
capabilities, mostly crunching data. The company that marketed Surflink, HSI
Geotrans, is out of that business.
Maybe somebody could resurrect Surflink.
