Actually, I don't particularly care about either.  What I said
concerned me was the process of how we determine historical
realities...because those are relevant to how we measure things
today...in the here and now.

A discussion of the historic role of the USSR probably belongs on a
list of people interested in the history of those events...and it
isn't that different than the Stalin-Trotsky debate.  I, for one,
don't have the time for it.
