Most of the Biden supporters argued that his election was necessary to thwart the dangerous activities of the Trump administration and return the country to some sort of centennial Warren G. Harding's 1920 invention of "normalcy." This would never happen without addressing the criminality of the previous administration. Nobody familiar with Biden and his career--or who listened to him now--could have seriously thought he'd approve of that.
