fkaloser101, I know about the history of trusts ans lobbyists going back to Reconstruction ,but I must admit the Depression/New Deal years are a time I do not know much about. It does seem though ,that the influence of corporation and lobbyists seems to get worse as time goes by. Corruption and influence seems to be hard wired into the American system of government. It grows exponently as time passes ,and if anything institutionalized it ,it was Citizen's United ,definitely one of the worst Supreme Court decisions ever.I would say the situation has reached a point as bad ,or worse than where the Soviet Union was in the 1980s.
