This is fascinating to me. The ruling class, including many who were riding the wave of Trumpism until yesterday (Kelly Loeffler, Lindsay Graham, etc...maybe even the National Association of Manufacturers belongs in this category), is already stumbling over itself to repudiate the Capitol mob. But there are millions of discontented people who think that mob was right, and would probably be thrilled to see more of it. What will the ruling class do to pacify them? Not that these millions will suddenly all pick up weapons and march on Washington, or anything remotely close; but those in power must realize that now is a volatile time, and yesterday must have made them at least a little nervous.
