I beg to differ with you Louis re: the Klan, it first formed (admittedly in a nucleus iteration that had yet to be formalized in the formation that it later became) to overthrow the Reconstruction governments and convert the political economy to the sharecropping system in tandem with the Jim Crow system. I thought Free State of Jones demonstrated that brilliantly.
