i have no idea what March 2017 demonstration you're talking about. Btw, I'm not talking about window dressing background for TV news like they did over the Kavenaugh heareings but real mass demonstrations.
There were demonstrations in January 2017 in response to Trump's inauguration (if that's what you mean) was broadly initiated. The Democrats jumped into it and got control of the organizdeing committees which never called more demonstrations. In contrast, during the Vietnam War, the demonstrations were always in the hands of movement people. Democratic voters were always welcome and their political leaders were given a place on the platform.
