I agree but would prepend a point 0 to your list: Remove the pay discrepancies 
between union leaders and members.  The ILA president reportedly makes 10X what 
a dock-worker member ear s. Even in the UAW, it's over 2X. A union leader 
making 2X, 4X, or 10X over a union member's salary is not conducive to 
solidarity or union militancy. We'll never make it to points 1 or 2 given the 
current state of business unionism.
