The case in chief is usually the 1942–43 material and the Minneapolis trial testimony, where Cannon says things like the workers want to fight fascism and the party's job is to show them how to do it more effectively — which starts treating anti-fascism as the given sentiment to be organized rather than as itself a form of the war ideology to be broken.
