When I speak about the weeks that follow, I am referring to the period of time between election day and when the mail-in ballots are counted and the.results are announced. This is when bags of ballots are “found” that change the results.
The thing is, these might be completely legitimate ballots. It’s the appearance of fraud that has to be avoided. That can be as damaging to peoples confidence in elections as actual fraud. In the end, the goal is not just the accurate counting of votes, but maintaining confidence in the process itself. Regarding the number of election sites in the country, it doesn’t matter. It’s only a few that need to be tampered with, in swing states. I want to be clear and say I am not saying there was fraud in 2020.
