I support the right of the Palestinian resistance to decide the forms of its resistance. Attempts at peaceful resistance (like the Great March of Return) have been met with snipers shooting children. Year upon year they have faced the IDF "mowing the lawn" in Gaza while supporting further settlement. In reality October 7th was an act of desperation and I am sure people will argue for decades about it, about what the Israelis knew. How many civilians were actually killed by the IDF etc. "the brutal Hamas attack that day on Southern Israel that resulted in over a thousand deaths, as well as numerous rapes and kidnappings; the worse day of violence against Jews since the Holocaust" is straight out of hasbara. But the alternative they were facing was a slow genocide. I have no time for this - "a plague on both their houses" thinking. Meanwhile, while "the left is outdoing itself in its stupidity", support for Israel is plummeting globally, even in the US, and support for the Palestinians is rising.
What is your suggestion to the Palestinians?
