Hi Ken,

our lecturer have also asked about a pause feature. So I would appriciate if we
can build this. But in your case it can be really easy to have an interim
solution. Mute your mic if this is possible in your audio setting.

We thougth about an emergency off button and on air lamp also, but it was clear
that advanced features like video monitoring or camera control will follow. So
the best approach would be a small computer or display from CA to have a
monitoring console.

Clemens

To the Matterhorn Community,

We may have hit a show stopper in our consideration of Matterhorn for Lecture
Capture.

Our faculty are sincerely concerned about a student approaching the instructor
at the podium (or within microphone pickup) and asking about a grade or
similar. If that conversation is recorded, we could easily be in violation of
FERPA.

We feel it is paramount that Matterhorn have an on/off recording control for
the faculty member.

Are we being overly sensitive to this issue? Should the Matterhorn Community
strongly advocate for a recording on/off control?
