I wait days. I have some tests that are over a week.

I actually don't know the capture is failing. Perhaps I'm not using the
right language. There are sources connected and I can see/hear them if
I access the device.

Basically I get the error message I mentioned before and the video never
shows up. I have no idea why. I don't see much in the matterhorn
server logs and I have no idea how to debug the device.

How long are you waiting after the capture is supposed to be finished?
The device may in fact be capturing but the signal informing the core of
that is probably missing. The device should eventually ingest the
media, so try setting the ingest interval to 1 minute. You don't want
to do that for production, but until I can get the fix out for this
issue it should let you continue testing.

Actually I'm seeing the same thing. The video popped up a couple of
times in prior testing, but it now it seems with more testing that the
capture fails far more often then it works.

That's really really odd. How do you know that the capture is in fact
failing? When it fails what do the streams on the preview page look
like? What settings do you have enabled in the Streams configuration
page? Do you have the camera or audio stream turned off by any chance?

It's really frustrating debugging these things, as you can probably
tell :)

I have just updated the f/w and I have the same Warning, but the

has never started.

Strangely enough I had to update the f/w on the MCA, despite the device
came with the 2.2.0e on it, otherwise the device did not register on
the
core.

I have gotten this working on matterhorn 1.2.

However, it does do something weird. I get:

WARNING : Recording may have failed to start or ingest!
It seems the core system did not recieve proper status updates
from the
Capture Agent that should have conducted this recording.

When it starts recording. Then at some point later the video shows
up.

Another known issue that's been cropping up for a while. I have a
patch
for this waiting on local QA to finish up.
