One more comment about a statement on the wiki page:

I agree that in the current incarnation of the player, it functionally belongs 
in Segment Text, since that's the only text it searches. One thing to consider 
though, is that in the future there might be other text-searchable isochronic 
metadata (transcript, for example). And what about the use case of students 
wanting their search to include comments, particularly their own?
