Judy, if I'm reading your e-mail correctly, there is a patch available that Sergio put together and the path has been tested by against a recent version of 1.4. If this is the case, I don't mind the path (although I will note that I have never seen the ui elements that have been introduced by this design). If the patch needs further work by the community, I am against taking it in for 1.4, because we don't want to take on new funcionality during the RC phase, which we already entered.
