AFAIK, NCast and Epiphan have web sites where you can find detailed information
and manuals of their products. I don't know, perhaps Matterhorn users get
confused more easily than the average, but I'd say those websites are the first
place they'll look for information and resources.
Sometimes hardware even comes with a CD containing drivers and other files
needed to make it work, and instruction manuals showing how to use the contents
of the disk. Perhaps those manuals can tell the users to download the contents
from the web page, and then those CDs with utilities are no longer needed.
Even quicker and better: a sticker on the device that reads "Please refer to
www.mywebpage.com for support".
As per the Matterhorn wiki, I think all it needs to say is "For 3rd party
capture agents, please refer to the manufacturer's website for support", in
case that was not obvious enough.
