Thank you very much, Simon. Your scripts did the trick and now SAPDB/MaxDB
works just fine on RedHat 9!!

(I had to rename your sapdb.sysconfig-1.0.7 script to sapdb.init-1.0.7 when
copying it to /etc/sysconfig.)

Because I was trying to use LD_ASSUME_KERNEL before without success, I
looked at your scripts to see what you were doing differently. I think my
Shared Memory was set too low, and your script sets that automatically when
x_server is started.

One last question: Could you please clarify what the invoca-inst and
invoca-unist scripts are used for?

Again, many thanks!
Jerry

Hi,

I'm using 7.4.3.30 on RedHat 9 without any problems. I'm using my own
initscripts which care about things like setting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL. I've
just uploaded them here http://www.invoca.ch/pub/packages/sapdb/7.4/ so
use them at your own risk.

Simon
