We went with a Barracuda 200 hardware spam firewall. http://www.barracudanetworks.com $1,500 to buy, and about $350 a year for service, if memory serves. Once it's plugged into your network you can forget about it. Frankly ...we were more than happy to pay to get some relief! Solved the Spam problem for us. I particularly appreciated that it required near-zero work from me. I'd wasted too many hours ineffectually tweaking SpamAssassin and apparently didn't have time to become an adequately-skilled spam filtering expert. I have other things to do. There's the subscription fee for the service, and Barracuda networks continually update the thing. Very happy with it.
