Hi. Where do you buy your 702?? I keep telling people to stay away from these
units!! But same people look at the low price and then shut off their brains.
Even $150 is no bargain if you buy something that is going to give you nothing
but trouble.
The newer Sharp units (I think you would have to buy one on line because I don't
think they are sold in the US yet) seem more reliable.
Sony has been a mixed bag. I really haven't seem to many problems with the
R55. But Sony products other than the R55 have been know to be nothing but
trouble.
I own the original Sony portable MD recorder. (MZ-1). I had to return it twice
during the warranty period.
Have you looked at the Aiwa F70? It may not be quite as small as the R55, but I
feel that there is a point where something can actually be too small. There is
no Jog dial on the R55. They probably couldn't fit one in.
