In America consumers are traded with much more respect as in Europe. It's
almost impossible to sue a manufacturer for 'not telling you that if'. In
America it's common practice. I think the same goes for the life-time
warenty.
It's a term that's well defined in the small print. Ie, you can't blame the
manufacturer. (The small print explaines that they don't mean your life, but
the life of the disc...)
In America, life-time normaly referes to the life of the user.
