AFAIK, there are no real time MP3 recorderds. You can't take one to a
jam, workshop or a concert and record it live. Even if you could, it
won't sound as good as ATRAC on MD. I don't think you have the editing
and titling capabilities either.
They are for different audiences. MP3 is just material that has been
recorded previously and converted to MP3 so it can be downloaded from
the internet.
