Ralph, DTS is a whole other world. You combine that with TXH ( or is it THX?)
and a decent receiver with DTS (they almost all are equipped for that). Then
you get 5 high end speakers, because unlike Dolby, in DTS all of the channels
are full spectrum (and the rear channels are separate descrete-who was the jerk
that decided that the left and right channel of Dolby could actually be the
same? Why didn't they tell you to get just one big speaker and put it in the
middle behind you?).
Which brings me to speaker, which is liable to start another debate. I always
thought that Infinity had great speakers and Polks were also rans. But I
recently AB tested Infinity and Polks in the same price range and ot my ears the
Polks were noticeable better.
