Per Michael: “
For ConfigMgr clients, you would need to do a little bit more: * Set up a network share containing the contents of the “sources\sxs” folder from the original Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 media. * Set a task sequence variable (either through CustomSettings.ini or directly in the task sequence) called “WindowsSource” that points to the location of that folder. “ I’m not copying them locally…MDT is doing that. -Brian From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of CESAR.ABREG0 Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2014 12:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MDT-OSD] ZTIOSRole fails to install .Net 3.5 - path not found I just skimmed through the article but couldn't see any reference to SCCM. try setting the the 'windowsource' variable to you network source path. I think that should work for you, is not necessary to copy it locally. Cesar A. Meaning is NOT in words, but inside people! Dr. Myles Munroe My iPad takes half the blame for misspells. I’ve found some people that do this by calling DISM, but as Michael mentions in this post it shouldn’t be necessary for Litetouch: http://blogs.technet.com/b/mniehaus/archive/2012/09/27/mdt-2012-update-1-roles-and-features-improvements.aspx I’m using full source files, but it still seems to fail with this error: ZTI ERROR - Unhandled error returned by ZTIOSRole: Path not found (76) I even tried setting the WindowsSource variable, but that didn’t seem to help. What am I missing here? -Brian
