We are planning on using the ENTER MED function on the EMAR.
I can't really tell you how well it works, as we haven't gone live yet, but
so far it appears to work ok in test.

It allows the meds to be entered onto the MAR in an unverified status, and
allows a SIG, so the next shift knows when the drug is due again.

Pharmacy will then verify when the re-open.

Is anyone else using this process?? And is it working well??

Hi All,
When pharmacy is closed and an order is placed, we were planning on
having the nurse pull it out of pyxis so it is available on the MAR to
document. This works, but if the patient is scheduled for a second dose
before the pharmacy is open, how others alerting the nurse on the next shift
that another dose is due?

Thanks
