Beth, this is our analyst's thoughts on using Meditech's Auto-Close. By the way, we are using Iatric Auto-Close in conjunction with their Medical Necessity product.

We like scriptlink because of the flexibility of the tool, the ability to add additional functionality to the Dayclose that is not standard. For example, automated reporting based on batch totals (PHA), FTP'ing files to a network directory (statements), etc. Granted you can complete this through standard Meditech functionality but it is nice to have this consolidated in one script rather than managing spool schedules and FTP servers. I would also say that the product we are using has been as stable Meditech's autoclose. I would be happy to talk with her if she needs more detail. Let me know.
