It's not Intel solely being responsible. But Intel is a large contributor to both the kernel and meego; and obviously many of the meego maintainters will be from Intel, just like many maintainers will be from the other obvious big contributor, Nokia. Also I don't understand what the beef is. Really. The meego kernel has a very small delta on top of the kernel.org kernel. Do you complain that Linus Torvalds is the maintainer for the kernel.org kernel.. and that since he works for LF he can't be? Of course you don't! If you want to improve the MeeGo kernel, by all means, send patches/suggestions/etc. Even better, get those patches into Linus' kernel!
