Hi, I am quite new to both those 2 OS, my point is, GUI is more important than kernel , somehow. End users like to pay for gorgeous GUI when they see the products; Developers would like to choose the system which can easy create fantastic GUI apps. Since 32bit general OS kernels are almost the same today, GUI is more important :-)
