Skipping review check for what goes inside config-generic is not

nobody is hiding what goes into config-generic, and additions get put at
the end...
so why don't you do your review based on what is there, rather than
blocking progress instead?

and yes if you add a patch to the arm section of the kernel that adds a
config option, I expect you to update config-generic as well.
I know you've not done that consistently so far, and so far I've usually
fixed up after you....

Before the flame war begins, I'd rather advocate that config-generic is kept as small as possible and then platform-specific configs are handled separately.

I think that misses the point.
(and yes I know Amaya is not happy)

config-generic is the set of defaults

the platform specific configs are overrides to these defaults, so that the platform specific configs don't HAVE to deal with every config option.

they can if they want to... that's why it's an override.
