Can I set up a translation so that _("ON") == "OFF" and _("OFF") = "ON"?

To continue this digression, does anyone else agree that Apple has set
the boolean usability world back 10 years with these ridiculous
sliders? They're cloned everywhere; I'm seeing them on web sites now too.

The translation issue and the "Wait, is that the current state or the
new one?!" problems are serious.

This thing takes a lot of screen
real estate for a single bit of information (and it still requires
some kind of label to explain it).

The physical usage mechanic (a tap)
doesn't match the animation (it slides!). Ugh.

I know it's a bikeshed issue but thank you for raising this. Peering at these and attempting to use a touch interface/gesture to activate them was an unpleasant part of using the UX.
